The Whitehall Choir is always looking for talented singers. Lots of new members have joined this term, but our music director is still extremely keen to welcome new tenors.
If you are interested in joining, come to a rehearsal at the beginning of term, usually in September, January or April. Next term starts on Tuesday, 2 April, when we will begin working on our summer concert (Songs and Sonnets: Shakespeare by Shearing, Rutter, Mathias and Diemer), for performance on 27 June at St Peter’s Eaton Square. If you can’t make that first rehearsal, don’t worry. We break for Easter, then on 23 April there will be an Open Rehearsal to which all singers are invited, whether you are planning to join the choir or just want to try us out! It begins at 6:30pm at St Peter’s Eaton Square and there will be an informal drinks reception afterwards to give you the opportunity to meet and talk to members of the choir. If you let us know you are planning to come, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be sure to have music ready for you to borrow.
We offer reduced subscription rates for younger members, such as full-time students and those starting work in London.
Rehearsals are every Tuesday in term time from 6.30pm to 9pm in the Parish Hall on the second floor above St Peter’s Church, Eaton Square, London SW1W 9AL. (Nearest Tube or train station, Victoria.) The entrance is towards the back of the church on the North side.
Admission to the choir is by a short audition, normally at the end of your second or third rehearsal. For more details, email us on email@example.com
