The Whitehall Choir is always looking for talented singers. If you are interested in joining, let us know on firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will contact you to let you know when this is.
Rehearsals are every Tuesday in term time from 6.30pm to 9pm at St Peter’s Church, Eaton Square, London SW1W 9AL. (Nearest Tube or train station, Victoria.) The entrance is towards the back of the church on the North side.
However, due to Covid-19 restrictions we are starting our spring term on 12 January with rehearsals online. Links to the online sessions will be sent to prospective new singers who have contacted us. Jo Tomlinson, our Music Director is currently on maternity leave, so the spring term will be managed by leading choral director Sarah Tenant-Flowers, who will be preparing us for a potential performance of the Rachmaninov Vespers in March. You are welcome to join us for these early rehearsals and we’ll arrange auditions, possibly online with Joanna when appropriate.
We will change to socially distanced rehearsing in person at St Peter’s Eaton Square just as soon as government guidance allows us to do so.
We offer reduced subscription rates for younger members, such as full-time students and those starting work in London.
Admission to the choir is by a short audition, normally at the end of your second or third rehearsal. For more details, email us on email@example.com.
Earlier this term we were able to restart our rehearsals in Covid-19 secure conditions, with those in St Peter’s church being joined by other members on Zoom. During the period when we couldn’t meet in person, we worked by Zoom to maintain and improve our singing and musical skills. Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to hold our rehearsals in St Peter’s although we hope to resume them as soon as regulations allow.
